Dear Parents of AJ West Kindergarten Students,

Thank you for choosing AJ West Elementary School to begin your child’s journey into school. We are excited to meet all our new kindergartners and to get this year started!

To help create the most balanced kindergarten classes, we will implement a soft start during the first two weeks of school. This approach allows for flexibility in class assignments before final rosters are established. During this time, your child will have the opportunity to work with all of the kindergarten teachers in one-on-one, small group, and whole-class settings. Through structured academic and social-emotional activities, students and teachers will get to know one another. Any necessary classroom adjustments will be made during these two weeks to ensure well-balanced, supportive learning environments for the year ahead.

Registration in the Spring helps ensure that teachers are ready for all students in the fall

Students must be 5-years-old on or before Aug. 31, 2025

Registration from in-district residence only. Out-of-district requests are not being considered at this time.
